AFP-SC Releases Legislative Scorecard at Midpoint of 2025-2026 Session
Columbia, SC – Today, Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina (AFP-SC) released its legislative scorecard highlighting how state lawmakers voted on policies tied to AFP-SC’s South Carolina Freedom Initiative during the first half of South Carolina’s 2025-2026 legislative session. South Carolina’s General Assembly holds two-year sessions, with any bills not passed in the first year able to be carried over into the second year of session.

AFP-SC State Director Matt Humm released the following statement:
“We have made a lot of progress so far this legislative session towards our goal of making South Carolina the freest state in the South. From the passage of an expanded Education Scholarship Account program to House passage of a Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS)-style regulatory reform bill and conversations about phasing out the state income tax, South Carolinians have seen real wins in the State House.
“This scorecard not only celebrates these wins but also outlines our priorities heading into 2026. It’s critical that our elected lawmakers continue to champion policies that align with our values of limited government, personal freedom, and bottom-up solutions. AFP-SC looks forward to working with lawmakers to ensure that South Carolina remains a top place to live, work, and raise a family in the years to come.”
