The Economy

Corporate Net Income Tax

South Carolina has the highest corporate net income tax in the southeast at 5 percent. Our state government currently incentivizes businesses to the state by offering hand-outs and subsidies. Instead, we should lower and potentially eliminate the corporate net income tax so that businesses will be incentivized on their own to invest in South Carolina.
